External is safer than internal but there's always a chance to get banned. (Player reports don't get you banned btw)

You dont get banned after a single game.

Yes, external is very safe last ban-wave was last summer, there is still a ban-chance, but a very very low one, just be careful not to use it on accounts that you cant afford to lose, as you never know, one day riot could improve their ac and everyone gets banned, but hopefully that never happens.
