Do you play in NA server?
temporary hotfix method:
After the update is complete; navigate to the following folder: LOL\RADS\solutions\lol_game_client_sln\releases\0.0.1.222\deploy
In this folder you need to have League of Legends.exe from EUW or whatever server you choose, copy that to your desktop (make backup of it).
Now switch again to NA servers, after the update is complete, replace the executable with the one from EUW and go play. This is a temporary hotfix.
