Yes, there is a default config, and you should not bother changing settings. You should learn how to play with the tool; what does it mean? You need to use it and apply it to your gameplay, and you'll understand how things work and benefit from it.

Most people recommend learning the game first and then you can learn how to use the tool and move from there. Me personally I put in over 1k hours in the game before I started using the tool.
