Hello everyone,

after L$ is gonna shutdown I moved to GoS. I've got several experience in C++ Programming (3 years in school). Now i wanna try out Lua and read a little bit about it. Now i've got a few questions.

What is the most common IDE for Lua?

Are there some tutorials especially for GoS? (Didn't find a good tutorial on this forum)

It would be nice, if you can help me :)

Best regards,

Rob

lua does not need an ide and most use their favorite text editor(notepad++,sublime, atom and etc)

lua is very simple to use and learn, especially for those with experience even with a simple video u can get a hang of it(google lua in one hour or similar)

sadly there are no real tutorials for gos since int's fps problems drove devs off and ext is still new

if u need help the development section in discord can help

just following up on what pleb said:
Lua is a very simple language to pickup which makes it great for GoS as it encourages more users to begin developing scripts and its actually surprisingly fast/powerful for how simple it is

that being said, I would recommend reading up on how Lua works as it gives a better insight on how to squeeze extra performance out of your scripts
some keywords for your google adventures: hash tables, Lua stack, memorization/caching, condition ordering
