Heya, I decided to test some ban rates
I made two accounts and used two popular scripting tools (GOS internal and EB).
How it worked:
- I did not use any scripts, just injected and played normally.
- One account for GOS (internal) and one for EB.
- Game modes played were ARAM, 5v5, and 3v3 (No AI games past 5).
- No hacks or anything else was used, and any settings that help at all were disabled on both platforms.
- The characters used were only the free ones for the week.
- Both accounts had 5 games a day of the same game modes
- No DUO queuing
- NOTHING was EVER said in chat on either account
The results (after 20 days):
- EB Account was Banned on 2/18/17 for third party programs.
- GOS Internal account is still going strong. I'll update this if it's ever banned.
- I was NEVER called out for scripts on either account (as I just injected and didn't use any scripts).
The Takeaway:
- GOS is a safer scripting tool.
- Something in the injection of EB is most likely detected by RIOT anti-cheat (as I didn't ever use an actual script).
TLDR: GOS is safer than EB. Great job GOS devs
Cant wait for external to have some awesome scripts, but it's good to know internal still seems to be undetected by anti-cheat, and rely on player reports.
Note: I said it's "safer", not 100% safe! But the ban-rate seems much less with GOS than EB. Hopefully External is truly ban-free, would be amazing.
