I was experimenting with some dribble automation settings to try and find the optimal mid-to-high Elo configurations for competitive play, but I can't seem to fine-tune catching the ball without allowing too much time for an immediate challenge. Perhaps catching should be done manually? Does anyone have any insights or maybe a good configuration that speeds up the duration of catching the ball?

What do you mean by speeding up the duration of the catching? Do you mean prevention of the ball bouncing?

Yes; I notice that the ball usually will bounce 3-4 times before settling.

you gotta get comfortable with letting the ball roll off roof of your car to hood and then boosting to get the dribble bot to pick up speed. once you get the hang of it its super smooth and easy.

Yeah i noticed this, when i was in the discord a while ago somebody had perfect settings so it literally didn't bounce.. sucks we don't have peoples old old settings anymore as some of the dribbling/kickoff settings was really good.

If someone else did it, then you could as well. Simply go to some dribble training that involves catching the ball, and adjust the [Catching Offset] value. It will also be a little bit different for each hitbox preset.
