xenzhe Posted Monday at 08:35 PM Posted Monday at 08:35 PM Hello everyone, First of all, I’d like to clarify that this is intended as constructive criticism, not hate. My name is Xenzhe. I’ve been using GoS for years—if I recall correctly, I started back in 2014 during the GoS Internal days. I’ve seen this platform go through countless changes, and I’ve tested innumerable other platforms that don’t even exist anymore. I experienced the launch of GoS External, its prime, its decline, developer roster changes, and everything in between. Based on my history as a scripter, GoS has always been one of my personal favorites, yet also one of the most frustrating. When GoS External first dropped—as older users can vouch for—it was riddled with bugs. It crashed frequently, making it nearly impossible to finish a match normally. To make matters worse, the bypass method back then relied on Kaspersky Antivirus, which made reloading mid-game a total nightmare. We always assumed it was temporary since it was still in beta and bound to get fixed. There were definitely periods of great stability, but things would break again soon after. Years later, many of those issues linger: constant crashes, UI dropouts where the script keeps running but drawings vanish, or random freezes that leave everything bugged out. It’s fundamentally a great platform, but after all this time, it still feels like the day-to-day user experience isn’t prioritized. For instance, there’s no quick-restart option mid-game without having to tab out, close the game, kill the app, and set everything up from scratch just because it randomly crashed. On top of that, things feel much more disorganized now. There is no clear, official script database (at least not that I could find), and whatever exists is completely outdated. Honestly, when it comes to League of Legends, the platform feels largely abandoned. It receives bare-minimum updates to stay compatible without actually addressing its potential. I still recommend GoS because it remains one of the safest platforms available right now, but go in knowing you will run into stability issues and crashes along the way. Quote
Feretorix Posted Wednesday at 10:49 AM Posted Wednesday at 10:49 AM I can not pass around and ignore such a great post. First of all thank you for being around trough all this time and remembering the platform. I am in the serious thinking process of reworking EXTP once more and re-releasing it as EXTR as R at the end will stand for Revised & Reworked. The weak points of the current GOS is offset updating + proper maintenance of the core part. Next is going the whole luajit engine which is connected to the core. Next stop is developers creating all kinds of scripts + libraries - some of them great and others somewhat bloated and unreliable > all coming in a complete package. And recently since the introduction of VGK we are having another bypass and chain requirement. So here is the whole "chain". VGK Bypass > Core > LuaJit > LuaCodingPractices > FinalProduct Every ">" symbol represents a chain which "transfers" the work intact, anything that breaks in that chain results in a broken FinalProduct. And now for the potential solution, back to EXTR idea. I want to shorten the path to just a VGK Bypass > Core > FinalProduct = which will allow me to have a much shorter chain of events. Eliminating the lua part and embedding it directly to the core will also allow me to control the quality of the "scripts" and code mixture which will also boost performance. This was not a "good idea" back in the days, but today is a viable option with the help of AI, it can literally help you organize and implement huge amouts of code while allowing me to be the supervisor of the whole work process. So final verdict > I want to release a new version of EXTR while maintaining EXTP for as long as I can and make a smooth transition if more and more people are finally satisfied EXTR. It will concentrate on code speed, crash fixes and built in 90% of the time used stuff, like: 1) Orbwalker + lasthit + harass, all the usual SPACEBAR + CVX 2) AutoEvade which is finally built in the orbwalker which works in tandem at this point you're covering 50% of the scripting part 3) Introduce advanced awareness + jungle timers + autosmite and you're up to 70% 4) Finally introducing basic QWER spell combos for killing enemies could potentially bring us to a 80% 5) And maybe ... just maybe we could introduce a very concentrated API (again lua) which hopefully will not be crashing anything but instead just bring spell + buff + damage combo stuff, but this should be the cherry on top > bringing the product from the 80% up to 100% satisfaction point. Yet anyone who doesn't care about it will be receiving stability and decent features directly at the 80% mark. SO yes ... in the era of AI developers anything is possible. Let me know what do you think about this and let's see what others might think of it aswell. 1 Quote
xenzhe Posted Thursday at 12:40 PM Author Posted Thursday at 12:40 PM I really appreciate that you took the time to read through the feedback without taking it the wrong way. That always speaks volumes about the person behind the project, and in turn, about the great community GoS has always been. I’m genuinely excited to see the upcoming changes. I have no doubt this will be a complete before-and-after for the platform. From my experience scripting, my main recommendation would be to put heavy emphasis on quality and keeping the software completely bulletproof. It’s way better to start with simple, bare-bones scripts backed by a rock-solid foundation, rather than getting caught up in the hype and ending up with security flaws or detections. I’d also suggest—forgive me if I'm overstepping here—that if an API is introduced down the road, priority should go to verified developers alongside some sort of financial incentive. Doing it that way keeps both your dev team and the users happy: developers have a real reason to write clean, high-quality scripts, and users will definitely appreciate having reliable content that doesn't break. At the end of the day, money is what makes the world go round, at least that's how I see it. I wish you nothing but success with this rework. Hopefully, this is the spark that brings back all the people who drifted away over the years. Quote
