it seems like all you ever post for is to be toxic or to stir up drama. what are you trying to gain from these kinds of comments? to prove a point about your opinion? great.

*i've asked for some more permissions already, hope i can solve the minor spam issues etc
nice
I forgot to mention 1 other example tho...
1. non-devs asking donations for private scripts
2. people uploading unapproved files that never got removed
3. selling stuff in wrong forums
4. people vouching for incorrect promotion and the person (please dont let this be you Fere) giving out the promotion to someone* who is advertising an unapproved exe to all of his users
* probably unaware of the rules

Wouldve been one of the first things to check if i had permissions.
If correct or incorrect promotion is not up to us, but unapproved .exe makes it questionable, indeed. (same for current staff in charge of checking those tbh.)
I see what you are talking about. ( leaving unapproved .exe's is no good )
Lets hope he will read PM's soon...
Btw. still looking forward to a release, hope the encryption stuff doesnt change your mind

my scripts works as intended, your pred misses close targets, if the distance is 500 or more and target is moving, if I play with my tongue, it'll be more accurate than your pred boi
Even though I edited his insultments on 11:24(and last post), he repeated his bad behavior and he and all drama monsters like him needs to be banned permanently.

We dont have any active staff with reversing background, who would you ask to "verify" your files?
I'm highly against using .exe's and .dll's be those verified or not.
-----------------------------------------------------
Devs should've been warned about the changes, Feretorix.
We cant reach you and you choose not to reach us, thats really bad.
Can we expect any EXT Updates/New Features soon or thats it?

If verified or not, staff does not prevent those from being posted in first place, wich is the real issue here.
Hence why i asked for some Permissions, waiting PM day tho.
Just so it is known, I am fully against Exe because cwiper thing that happened. I know it wasnt what happened, but exe make it even more easy to do
.exe, .dll:
1. only not encrypted .net -> open source
2. uploading file to thread directly + before it will be visible needs moderator or administrator approval
here is my .exe source code https://github.com/g...bs_Installer.cs + as i said: you can see my .exe code in any .net debugger
+ i copy these files socket\\core.dll, mime\\core.dll from gos internal folder https://github.com/g...nstaller.cs#L26 (official)

Let me start by saying that this is no personal attack against you or your scripts
But when someone with a notable rank promotes non-lua files on this forum (doesnt matter if they are approved / opensource or safe) it can stimulate others to do the same thing, because they trusted your actions. Imagine what will happen when more people do the same thing (applying what Fere wrote above about security) ---> Game Over

You have right.
I have shared .exe only because there is no officialy working auto update. I have multiple files - users don't need to download them all the time. One file with thousands lines of code is not ok for coding.
DownloadFileAsync, GetWebResult - both cause crash, only socket-http works without any error (ok not multithreaded but works )
As you said Fere, It should have always been that way.
There was a few people that could have learn a lot and made good scripts, or even better scripts just because seeing how a good script is made can help to improve coding logic and more.

DownloadFileAsync works fine, We've used it since v0.1 on project WR. Fere removed the callback (3rd arg), but all you need is a little creativity.
Soon our code will be open and you'll be able to replicate/adapt our AutoUpdater to your needs without external dependencies.
+1

The learning path isnt easy. Devs that make good scripts spent a lot of time and put lots of effort improving their skills
ICs orb for example is a really smart script with A TON of crucial info on how to get better and you dont see anyone trying to learn from there.
Simply knowing how something should be done is never enough, you have to know WHY its done like that so you can create code that really suits your needs.
What about Devs/Trials/Subscribers selling "private scripts" / taking orders? Are you gonna do something about that?
I get 2/3 pms per week of users complaining how xxx or yyy scammed them by taking their money and giving them an incomplete script or none at all (Asking if I'd code them for the same ammount, until I answer thats now how things work).

I did and a lot of devs/contributors too, and I can say that Zozo did it too in the past .
I think it's more complicated than that and it always has been. It's the same thing in the whole life.
People who really want to learn and improve will do effort, others who just want to profite will try to steal or copy paste.
So publishing the source code is a good thing for future makers of good scripts, and for others who just steal code, this shoulds be handled by moderation team and admins. (and the whole communauty shoulds help to this by pointing to Staff suspicious scripts).
The true matter for dev using encoding, imo, is cause of others scripting platforms. Like Tosh did for his orbwalker.
I am absolutely against executable files or dll's in general. They grant access to the whole computer and completely bypass any kind of sandbox. I should check out your libraries and eventually upload a non-updating version to GoS EXTERNAL Ftp in general. (Yes there is such an option)
You might share the sources, while binaries is a no-no.
I have removed .exe
People can install my library manually (they need copy mime\\core.dll &, socket\\core.dll from gos internal to gos external) http://gamingonstero...n-aio/?p=153006

I don't want your code. I have my own code that works well. If usage of DownloadFileAsync is diffrent than in gos internal - example code should be added to official API.

Yes ? Never said it was enough, i'm saying that it can definitly help to improve.
+ using your brain you can learn a lot about "why". We're not talking about copying something in a good code, but to be able to read the entiere code and learn things thanks to this code.
