My GOS Config
Upon request, I have sat down and fine-tuned my config for sharing. Since everyone apparently is gatekeeping theirs, and I don't think that is the GOS way, here it is.
Ball Prediction
Everything remains at Default values.
Wave Dash Bot
Same as default, if I remember correctly.
Continuous mode: Zap Dash, for fast recoveries.
Main Aerial Mode: Freestyle
I prefer it to auto-correct using both air rolls. This is a personal preference and can be toggled, but used correctly it is a real advantage: it can take the faster path with air roll left, which in my testing gives a better 50, or at least a better touch.
Take Off: Disabled. I believe you improve far more with GOS without it. All you need to learn is positioning, and if you haven't learned it yet, you will over time.
Final Orientation: Disabled. I prefer to free air roll or take over from the bot when changing trajectory, adjusting, or redirecting.
Recommendation for people in low ranks: Turning Final Orientation on is not a bad idea. It is likely easier for players climbing ranks than using GOS purely as an assist. Redirect also works as a final orientation, though I have not tuned it, so adjust it as you see fit.
Second Mode: Freestyle 2
I enjoy flip resets, so Freestyle 2 uses essentially the same settings as Freestyle. The only difference is the final orientation mode:
Final Orientation: Flip Reset 2. Its effectiveness can be tuned depending on what you want to do after getting the reset.
Final Orientation Distance: intentionally set low.
I like to go for Musty flicks and sit slightly behind the ball to beat players who challenge me in the air. With a low distance, the car rotates before the ball and close to it, which:
Catches defenders off guard. With a fast reset while they are already up, I can put it past them.
Hides the reset. Opponents can't see me get the flip as easily.
Creates hesitation. Sitting behind the ball makes them second-guess the challenge.
Demolition Bot and Car Vision
Not essential for me. Use them if you like; I occasionally enable demos during aerials simply because it's fun.
Visuals
I clip my shots often, which triggers the prediction lines, so I regularly disable the following:
All prediction lines
Ball intercept display
Car vision
Enemy boost
Boost timers
If you decide to try my config, I would really appreciate hearing how it works for you.
Feel free to leave a reply with your thoughts, any adjustments you made, or what did and didn't suit your playstyle.
Even a short thank you means a lot and lets me know it's worth sharing more.
